We've wanted a Bourbon Brothers barrel for a long time, and when the chance came to do it with Jack Daniel's we didn't want to take whatever barrel we were handed. So we sat down with their team and did the work. We tasted option after option, then took the best of them and tasted them again at different proofs, We kept at it until one barrel at one strength was clearly the best on the table. It was bottled for Bourbon Brothers customers only, and when these bottles are gone there won't be another.

Distiller of the Month: Jack Daniel's
Few names in whiskey carry the weight of Jack Daniel's. Founded in Lynchburg, Tennessee, and dating its origins to 1866, the distillery has grown from a small hollow operation into the best-selling American whiskey on the planet, yet it still makes every drop in the same town. What sets it apart is the Lincoln County Process. Before ageing, the new spirit is slowly filtered through ten feet of hard sugar maple charcoal, smoothing the edges and giving Tennessee whiskey its signature mellow character. The story also honours Nearest Green, the formerly enslaved distiller who taught a young Jack the craft and became the brand's first master distiller. Beyond the iconic Old No. 7, the range rewards exploration: the twice-mellowed Gentleman Jack, the bold Single Barrel Select, and the higher-proof Bonded releases. And yes, Lynchburg sits in a dry county.
