Distillery Information

Tamdhu Distillery was built in 1897 to mark Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, funded by a group of Scottish merchants and whisky traders who brought in Charles C. Doig, the leading distillery architect of the time, to build what was then the world's most advanced distillery on the banks of the River Spey. It closed in 2011 before Ian Macleod Distillers bought it, reopened it, and committed the entire range to sherry cask maturation using water straight from Tamdhu's own spring.
