But this is no movie prop. It’s a serious whiskey drawn from hand-selected casks located in the warmest areas of Old Forester’s warehouses, where heat intensifies the interaction between spirit and charred oak.
Crafted using a traditional mash bill of 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley, Statesman is distilled and matured entirely in Kentucky by Brown-Forman, who have stewarded Old Forester since 1870. Bottled at 95 proof (47.5% ABV), it strikes a vibrant balance between power and polish.
On the palate, Statesman delivers a wave of oak, baking spice, butterscotch, underpinned by rich caramel and with its higher rye content you get the peppery spice.
