JACK DANIEL'S OLD NO 7 INAUGURAL BOTTLE 1984 (1500ML)

$990.00
Overview

A REAL COLLECTOR'S ITEM

The Jack Daniel’s Inaugural Bottle is a 1984 commemorative decanter of Old No. 7, released to mark 80 years since Theodore Roosevelt’s first formal inauguration as US President. It’s a story more than a century in the making. Jack Daniel planned a special bottle for Roosevelt back in 1907, but the idea was shelved when Roosevelt didn’t run again in 1908.

This is the 1.5-litre version: a proper old Jack in a big, eye-catching decanter, and a bloody good piece of distillery history for anyone building a Jack Daniel’s collection.

Please note this box is slightly worn

Distillery Information

In 1907, Theodore Roosevelt spoke at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, with Jack Daniel in the audience. Jack planned to make a special bottle for Roosevelt’s next inauguration, but Roosevelt chose not to run in 1908 and the plans were dropped. The distillery brought the idea back in 1984, releasing the Inaugural decanter to mark the 80th anniversary of Roosevelt’s first formal inauguration. The US got a 1.75 litre version, and this 1.5 litre version was made for international markets.

Why we curate it

The Inaugural Bottle is a slice of Jack Daniel’s history you can actually put on your shelf. A story that goes back to Jack himself, a 1984 bottling, and a big decanter that looks the part. Not one you’ll find at the big chains. If you collect Jack, this one’s worth grabbing.
