Overview

Green River Wheated Bourbon is a smooth, easy-drinking expression from the historic Green River Distilling Co. in Owensboro, Kentucky — one of the oldest licensed distilleries in the state, operating since 1885. As a wheated bourbon, it replaces rye in the mash bill with wheat, creating a softer, sweeter profile that's approachable without sacrificing depth. Bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof), it's the kind of pour that works whether you're new to wheated styles or already know what you're after.

The mash bill runs 70% corn, 21% wheat, and 9% malted barley, aged four to six years in new charred American oak. The result is a bourbon with genuine balance — honey, vanilla, and caramel up front, with soft spice and orchard fruit underneath. It took out Best Bourbon in the World at the 2025 New York International Spirits Competition, which is a serious credential for a bottle at this price.
