Glenmorangie's 18 Year Old Extremely Rare teamed up with Japanese flower artist Azuma Makoto, who used the scents in the whisky as inspiration for a floral artwork that ended up on the bottle and box. Underneath the artwork, it's the same well-regarded 18 Year Old, matured mostly in American bourbon casks with a final stint in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks for extra depth.

Distillery Information

Glenmorangie has been distilling in Tain, in the Scottish Highlands, since 1843, known for the tallest stills in Scotland and a long history of cask finishing. For this release, the distillery worked with Azuma Makoto, who created a floral artwork called Dancing Flowers of Glenmorangie based on what he picked up on the nose of the whisky, using close to 100 different blooms.
