Chicken Cock Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

$199.00
Overview

Chicken Cock is one of the old names in Kentucky whiskey, first made in Paris, Kentucky back in 1856. During Prohibition it was the house whiskey at New York’s Cotton Club, smuggled in sealed tins. A distillery fire after World War II shut it down, and Grain & Barrel Spirits brought it back from 2012.

The bourbon is made with Bardstown Bourbon Company from a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% rye and 9% malted barley, and aged for at least four years. Expect caramel, vanilla and butterscotch with a creamy, buttery feel and a bit of warmth at 45%. It comes in a replica of the old Prohibition-era apothecary bottle. Smooth, balanced and easy to pour anytime.
