Overview

Booker's Small Batch Bourbon is a full-throttle, barrel proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon that stays true to Booker Noe's original vision: bourbon the way it comes out of the barrel, uncut and unfiltered. Being a small batch, each is different, but typically around 60%ABV (ABV will vary from batch to batch).

This batch is aged over 7 years and bottled at a high strength of 63.15% ABV (126.3 Proof). This small-batch bourbon delivers power, honesty, and old-school Kentucky character in every pour. It's a release that rewards patience, commands respect, and reminds you exactly why barrel proof bourbon has such a devoted following

In 1988, Booker Noe, Grandson of Jim Beam, introduced his own signature bourbon - 'Booker's'- hand-selected and bottled straight from the barrel, uncut and unfiltered. He first created 'Booker's' as a holiday gift for his special friends, but the whiskey was so well received that he decided to make it available to bourbon lovers worldwide. This remains Beam's flagship brand and is packaged to show it.

Distillery Information

Booker's Bourbon was created by Booker Noe, sixth-generation Beam family distiller and grandson of Jim Beam, to showcase bourbon exactly as it tastes straight from the barrel. Launched in 1988, Booker's was one of the first small-batch bourbons and helped pioneer the barrel proof category.

Today, the series remains one of America's most respected barrel proof releases, produced at James B. Beam Distillery in Clermont, Kentucky, with the same commitment to authenticity, transparency, and flavour that Booker Noe championed.

Each batch is released with detailed information about aging, proof, and warehouse location, maintaining the transparency and honesty that defines the brand.

Who this bottle is for
  • Seasoned bourbon drinkers who appreciate high-proof whiskey
  • Fans of barrel proof and cask strength spirits
  • Collectors who follow the annual Booker's releases

How to enjoy

  1. Neat – Best enjoyed neat in a Glencairn or rocks glass, allowing time to open in the glass (10-15 minutes)
  2. With water – A few drops of water can unlock additional sweetness, spice, and complexity
  3. Over ice – A single large ice cube will gradually dilute and cool the bourbon, revealing different flavour layers
  4. Tasting sessions – Ideal for slow, focused tasting sessions where you can appreciate the evolution

Pairing Suggestions:

  • Dark chocolate or chocolate desserts
  • Grilled or smoked meats
  • Aged cheeses (cheddar, gouda)
  • Cigars (for special occasions)
