Another brand distilled by the famous Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky. The classically labelled Ancient Age has not been bothered by changes in fashion but remains a respected Bourbon by devotees who refer to it as ‘Triple A’. The house style is described as ‘relatively dry, pre-dinner Bourbon '. There are various bottlings available in the U.S. Whisky writer extraordinaire, Jim Murray, raved about this one.

Distillery Information

Ancient Age was created in 1946 by Schenley Industries and later sold to Age International in 1983. The brand changed hands a few times through the early 90s before landing with Sazerac, who now bottle it at Buffalo Trace Distillery, once known as the Albert B. Blanton Distillery. Same site, same team, just a different name over the door.
