Provenance

Old Fitzgerald has roots going back to the late 1800s and was famously associated with the Stitzel-Weller distillery and the Van Winkle family for much of the 20th century. Heaven Hill took over the brand in 1999 and has carried the wheated bourbon tradition forward at their distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky.

The Bottled-in-Bond decanter series launched in 2018 to bring the brand back to its premium roots, with each Spring and Fall release featuring a different age statement printed on the bottle. The Spring 2018 release sits at the start of that line and pays tribute to the original Old Fitz decanter design.
