1792 Full Proof is the big-hitter of the 1792 range. It's bottled at 125 proof, the same strength the bourbon went into the barrel at, which is where the "Full Proof" name comes from. Non-chill filtered, too, so nothing's been stripped out before it hits the bottle.

The result is a bourbon with serious weight. Dark caramel, vanilla, and oak, with a proper rye-spice kick and a long, warming finish. Big flavour, big proof, but still surprisingly easy to enjoy. A proper upgrade for anyone after a bourbon with real backbone.

Tasting Notes

NOSE - Rich caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak with rye spice, dark fruit, and a hint of brown sugar.

PALATE - Big and bold. Deep caramel, vanilla, and oak up front, followed by a strong hit of rye spice, dark chocolate, and pepper. The high proof brings serious weight without burning out the flavour.

FINISH - Long and warming. Oak, spice, and dark sweetness hang around for ages with a clean, dry close.

Barton 1792 Distillery sits in Bardstown, Kentucky, right in the heart of bourbon country. It's one of the oldest fully operating distilleries in the state, with whiskey making roots on the same site going back well over a century. The distillery is now part of the Sazerac family.
