Tromba XA is a 100% Blue Weber agave extra anejo, aged over three years in American white oak. It sits at the top of the Tromba range, built for drinkers who already know their way around aged tequila and want something with real depth.

Rich and layered, with plenty of oak, caramel, and toasted nut character, but the agave still comes through underneath. Not one for mixing. This is a slow down and sip it kind of bottle.

Nose: Caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak, with dried fruit and a bit of citrus coming through.

Palate: Rich and smooth, with toasted nuts, slow roasted caramel, and dried fruit sitting over the agave, with a touch of cherry.

Finish: Long and warm, with oak, a bit of spice, and that citrus brightness sticking around.

Distillery Information

Tromba is made in Los Altos, the highlands of Jalisco, at NOM 1547, under founder and master distiller Marco Cedano. The agave is grown above 5,200 feet and left to mature for around seven years, longer than most, which builds more sugar and flavour into the plant before it ever hits the oven.

Cedano spent decades as a master distiller for some of the biggest names in tequila before starting his own brand, so there's a lot of experience behind every batch.

How to enjoy

Best enjoyed neat or with a single large ice cube, so you can actually taste what's going on. Save it for slow evenings or for sharing with mates who know a good tequila when they taste one.
