Kah Anejo Tequila

Overview

100% Blue Weber Agave  ·  Lowlands (Tequila Valley), Jalisco  ·  40% ABV

KAH Añejo is a 100% Blue Weber agave tequila from Jalisco's lowlands, aged 2 years in American white oak.

Sweet cooked agave, vanilla and caramel, with cinnamon and black pepper keeping it lively. A bit of citrus on the finish stops it from getting too heavy. Smooth enough to sip, with plenty going on.

The bottle's a black-and-white ceramic skull, hand-finished so no two are quite the same. The design nods to Nicaraguan traditions of honouring the dead, alongside the calaveras of Día de los Muertos.

Distillery Information

KAH is produced at Fábrica de Tequilas Finos in Jalisco under NOM 1472. The brand has changed hands over the years, so check the NOM on your bottle.

KAH means “life” in Mayan, and the whole range is built around Day of the Dead. The Blanco, Reposado and Añejo each get their own skull design.

How to enjoy

Best neat or over a single big cube of ice. Also makes a cracking Tequila Old Fashioned. Keep the skull when you're done.

Why we curate it

At Tequila Brothers, we recommend KAH Añejo for customers who want:

  • A sipping tequila with vanilla, caramel and spice
  • Two years in oak without losing the agave
  • A step up from reposado into properly aged tequila
  • A bottle that makes a seriously good gift

If you've been drinking reposado and want to see what more time in oak does, this one's well worth a pour.
