Cenote Green Orange is a tequila liqueur built on Cenote's own 100% Blue Weber agave blanco, infused with the peel of Mexican green oranges. Green orange just means the fruit is picked before it ripens, when the peel carries the most concentrated, aromatic oils, which is exactly what this one's chasing.

The orange peel is macerated and triple distilled to pull out those essential oils, then blended back with the tequila base and volcanic well water. Bright orange in the glass, with fresh orange zest sitting right alongside the cooked agave underneath. Sweeter and more approachable than a straight tequila, without losing the agave character that makes it a Cenote.

Distillery Information

Cenote is produced at Fábrica de Tequilas Finos (NOM 1472), right at the foot of the Tequila Volcano in Jalisco. Stoli Group built the brand as its own standalone project, with agave sourcing, water and production all planned together rather than pieced together after the fact.

The Green Orange is a different direction for the range. The base is the same 100% Blue Weber agave blanco that goes into the Cenote Blanco, made with the same volcanic well water. The green orange peel is sourced from Mexico, picked before the fruit ripens when the essential oils in the peel are at their most concentrated, then macerated and triple distilled before being blended back with the tequila base. Master Distiller Arturo Fuentes, who's got 35 plus years in the trade including time distilling Cognac in France, oversees the whole process.
