Distillery Information

Arette is produced at El Llano Distillery (NOM 1109) in the town of Tequila, Jalisco. Founded in 1900 by the Orendain family, it's the oldest family-owned tequila distillery still in operation, now run by the fifth generation. The Arette brand itself was launched in 1986 by brothers Eduardo and Jaime Orendain, named after the horse Arete, a two time Olympic gold medallist for Mexico in 1948.

No outside ownership, no shortcuts. Just a family that's been doing this the same way for well over a century.
