Tequila is the world's fastest-growing spirit. Why? Because people have finally discovered the good stuff- the tequila Mexicans have been drinking- and it's not the stuff you drank at parties and lost days from. Now is the time to learn about tequila: its complexity, its craft, and its extraordinary range of flavour.
Experience a tequila masterclass with a virtual tasting evening hosted by tequila expert Lois Vieyra
Thursday 19 November 2026 | 7:30pm AEST | $59 per person | $39 FOR SUBSCRIBER
Pull up a chair. We have brought together six of Mexico's most respected tequila houses for a virtual tasting that shows just how wide, and how good, this category really gets. Six pours, hand-picked, walked through live by Lois Vieyra, Tequila Extraordinaire. No script, no fluff. Just great agave spirit, the stories behind it, and an evening well spent.
If it's your first experience, you will learn how to sip tequila like a pro: how it's produced, distillery insights, and tasting notes to enhance every tequila experience going forward.
What You'll Taste
- G4 Blanco
- Volans Reposado
- Terralta Reposado
- Cazcanes
- Añejo
- Cascahuin Añejo
- Arette Gran Clase
Why Six Distillers in One Night?
We don't often put six brands on the table at once, but this lineup earned it. Each of these houses does one thing brilliantly, and together they tell the story of modern tequila far better than any single brand could on its own: old-school tradition, next-generation experimentation, and everything in between.
This flight runs from a bright, mineral-driven blanco to a rested, oak-aged añejo that rarely leaves Mexico. Real breadth. Real craft.
What Lands at Your Door
Everything ships in one branded pack, timed to arrive a few days before the tasting so you have time to settle in and get your glassware sorted:
- 6 x 20ml tequila samples, clearly labelled and poured in tasting order
- A link to the tasting guide with notes on each expression and the distillers behind them
The Flight
Arette Gran Clase (20ml): The headline act. A joven built by blending aged and unaged tequilas in-house, rarely seen outside Mexico. If you have been waiting for something genuinely different to land in your glass, this is it.
G4 Blanco (20ml): The benchmark. Made using a rare, first-of-its-kind still developed in-house. The pour that shows you what blanco tequila is supposed to taste like.
Volans Reposado (20ml): Bertha Gonzalez Nieves's ultra-premium project, built without compromise.
Cazcanes
Añejo (20ml): Small-batch and family-run, with few outside Mexico ever getting to try it.
Cascahuin
Añejo (20ml): Old-school Jalisco production, made the long way. A tequila for people who want to taste the process.
Terralta Reposado (20ml): A newer name doing serious things.
Spots are strictly limited. Secure yours today.
