The casks that matured there expand and contract with temperature changes, and, when combined with gentle maturation at high altitude, this daily process results in a uniquely delicate yet flavourful whisky. So different from the other regions, with its clear fruity character that’s dry as the desert.

NOSE: A delicate and graceful medley of nuts, dark chocolate, and dried fruit.

PALATE: A dry burst of fresh fruit and red berries. 

FINISH: Fresh berries and dried fruits meet with soft notes of marshmallow for a short but moreish finish.

Distillery Information

M&H Distillery, founded in 2013 (with production commencing in 2014–2015), is Israel's first and largest single malt whisky distillery, based in Tel Aviv near the border with Jaffa. Its name nods to the biblical "land of milk and honey," and its whiskies are notably all Kosher. What sets M&H apart is Israel's hot Mediterranean climate, which accelerates cask maturation compared to traditional whisky-producing regions like Scotland — a distinctive angle the distillery leans into by ageing casks in varied microclimates, including those near the Dead Sea.
