Distillery Information

James B. Beam Distilling Co. is the oldest name in American bourbon and arguably the most important. Based in Clermont, Kentucky, it has been run by the same family, eight generations of Beams, since Jacob Beam first filled a barrel in 1795. The company produces nearly half of the world's bourbon supply. That is not a typo.

Most people know it through the flagship Jim Beam White Label. But the distillery is responsible for a lot more than that. The Booker's Small Batch Collection, Knob Creek, Basil Hayden, Baker's and Booker's, was assembled here in the late 1980s and early 1990s, essentially inventing the premium American bourbon category before it had a name.
