Today, under the guidance of Master Blender John Rhea, Confiscated revives that spirit with a rich, modern twist.

Bottled at 48.2% ABV  this bourbon is unfiltered, offering an intense, full-flavoured experience. On the nose, it delivers bright aromas of peach cobbler, baked apples, oak spice, and honeysuckle. The palate is rich and complex, with notes of butterscotch, nutmeg, caramelised citrus, toasted vanilla, and peppery rye spice. A long, warming finish lingers with dark fruit and oak tannin.

Distillery Information

Kentucky Owl honours barrels seized from founder C.M. Dedman's estate before Prohibition and never recovered. The brand was brought back by Dixon Dedman, Dedman's great great grandson, with the first Kentucky Owl bourbon released in 2014. Confiscated followed in 2019, built as a widely available blend that still carries the family name and story.
