Jack Daniel's No. 27 Gold Double Barreled Tennessee (Year of the Ox Packaging)

$299.00
Overview

Jack Daniel's No. 27 Gold takes the classic Old No. 7 recipe and runs it through an extra step. After the usual time in new charred oak, it gets finished in maple wood barrels and charcoal mellowed a second time. That's the "double barreled" part. The result is a smoother, sweeter pour with maple, caramel and vanilla doing most of the work. A solid step up if you already know Jack Daniel's and want to see what the extra process adds to the glass.

Distillery Information

The Jack Daniel Distillery has been making whiskey in Lynchburg, Tennessee since 1866 and is widely recognised as the oldest registered distillery in the United States. Every drop is made on-site, charcoal-mellowed through sugar maple charcoal, then matured in new charred American white oak barrels. No. 27 Gold starts with the well-known Old No. 7 recipe, then finishes it in maple barrels and runs it through the Lincoln County charcoal mellowing process a second time before bottling.

Why we curate it

Legacy Edition No. 1 started the whole series, and it earns its spot for the story as much as the pour. Same charcoal mellowed Tennessee whiskey Jack is known for, bottled a bit stronger and dressed in a label that nods back to where it all started. A solid pick for fans of the brand and the first piece for anyone collecting the Legacy series.
