W.L. Weller is produced at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, one of the oldest continuously operating distilleries in the United States. The Weller range uses the same wheated mash bill as the Van Winkle family of bourbons, with wheat replacing rye as the secondary grain for a softer, sweeter character. Weller 12 is the flagship of the range and one of the most allocated expressions Buffalo Trace produces.
