Jura 18 Year Old comes from one of the most remote whisky making spots in Scotland, the Isle of Jura. It spends 18 years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before getting a finish in Bordeaux red wine barriques, and that extra step is what gives it a fruitier, richer character than most single malts you'll come across.

It's not a peat bomb and it's not trying to be. Think big red fruit, warm spice and a long, sweet finish. A solid step up for anyone who's worked through the Jura 12 or 14 and wants to see what the extra years and the wine cask finish bring to the glass.

Distillery Information

Jura is a small island off Scotland's west coast, only 60 miles from the mainland but a world away in feel. One road, one pub, one distillery. Whisky's been made there since 1810, with the current distillery up and running since 1963. That isolation and the island's own microclimate are a big part of why Jura whisky tastes the way it does.
