Rare Breed is Wild Turkey's original small batch barrel proof bourbon, a blend of their 6, 8 and 12 year old stocks with no water added before bottling. It's about as close as you can get to drinking straight from the barrel without actually climbing into the rickhouse.

Proof varies a bit from batch to batch, but it's always bottled at barrel strength. Big, bold and built for drinkers who want the full, undiluted Wild Turkey experience.

Distillery Information

Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky first released Rare Breed back in 1991, making it one of the earliest barrel proof bourbons on the market. It's been through more than 11 batches since, always built from a blend of 6, 8 and 12 year old stocks.

Nothing gets added to bring the proof down, so what's in the bottle is exactly what came out of the barrel.
