Cascahuín Reposado Tequila is a beautifully restrained example of oak-rested tequila, where aging is used to supportagave character rather than replace it. Produced at the family-owned Cascahuín distillery in El Arenal, this reposado delivers balance, structure, and depth without drifting into sweetness or heavy wood influence.
Unlike many modern reposados that lean on oak for softness, Cascahuín allows fermentation and distillation to do the heavy lifting. The barrel simply rounds the edges, adding subtle warmth and cohesion while keeping the spirit unmistakably agave-forward.
Production Process
Cascahuín Reposado follows traditional tequila production methods, with particular care taken during fermentation and a measured oak resting period to preserve agave integrity.
- 100% Blue Weber agave sourced from Jalisco
- Agave slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens (hornos) to develop depth and cooked agave sweetness
- Cooked agave crushed using roller mills for clean, precise extraction

Natural fermentation in open-air stainless steel tanks, using distillery-selected yeast, allowing agave sugars to ferment slowly and develop herbal, peppery, and mineral complexity

Double distilled in stainless steel pot stills with copper components, refining the spirit while retaining weight and structure

Rested for several months in oak barrels (reposado), softening the spirit and adding gentle vanilla and spice without masking the agave
