Distillery Information

Aberlour Distillery has been making single malt in Speyside, Scotland since 1879. Double cask maturation is the thing they're known for, combining traditional oak with sherry casks to build depth and character across their whole range.

The 16 Year Old takes its strongest influence from Spanish oak Oloroso sherry butts, giving it more raisin, spice and richness than the 12 or 14 Year Old. It's the point in the range where age and cask influence really start to show.
