Overview

Four Roses 2025 Limited Edition Small Batch is bottled non-chill filtered at barrel strength, 109 proof (54.5% ABV), and blends bourbons aged 13 and 19 years. The release centres on fruit-forward V-yeast recipes, complemented by an older component that adds depth and mature oak structure.

Approximately 16,854 bottles were produced globally, making this a collectible annual release with limited availability outside the United States.

Four Roses Distillery produces ten distinct recipes from two mash bills and five proprietary yeast strains. This system allows the distillery to craft nuanced blends by combining different flavour profiles. The annual Limited Edition Small Batch release showcases this blending expertise, with Master Distiller Brent Elliott selecting barrels for balance, maturity and complexity.

Blend composition

The 2025 release combines four batches from three of Four Roses' ten proprietary recipes:

  • 13-year-old OBSV: 38%
  • 13-year-old OESV: 35%
  • 13-year-old OBSK: 17%
  • 19-year-old OESV: 10%

This blend highlights the V yeast strain, known for delicate fruit notes such as apricot and pear, while the 19-year-old component contributes mature oak complexity.
