Distillery Information

The Jack Daniel Distillery has been making whiskey in Lynchburg, Tennessee since 1866 and is widely recognised as the oldest registered distillery in the United States. Every drop is charcoal-mellowed through sugar maple charcoal, then matured in new charred American white oak barrels.

Between 1996 and 2006, the distillery released seven commemorative bottles known as the Gold Medal Series, each one marking a different medal won over the years. Bottle number six, released in 2005, looks back at 1954, the year Jack Daniel's won the Star of Excellence at a whiskey competition held in Brussels, Belgium.
