Fletcha Azul Blanco Tequila
Overview
Flecha Azul Blanco is a 100% Blue Weber agave tequila from the Jalisco Highlands, co-founded by Mark Wahlberg and entrepreneur Aron Marquez. Launched in 2021, the brand set out to deliver a clean, smooth Highland blanco that earns its place on the shelf beyond the celebrity name attached to it, and it largely does.
The blanco is fresh and approachable with the natural sweetness you'd expect from Highland-grown agave. No barrel time, no oak influence, just clean agave character bottled straight from the still. It's an easy-drinking blanco that works well across cocktails and holds up fine on its own over ice.
The Distillery
Produced in the Jalisco Highlands, an area known for agave with higher natural sugar content and a sweeter, fruitier character than valley-grown plants. Flecha Azul, meaning "blue arrow" in Spanish, was built around the idea of making premium tequila accessible without cutting corners on the liquid itself.
The Highland location is doing real work here. The naturally sweet agave profile that comes from this region is a genuine quality driver, and it shows in the blanco's clean, rounded character. It's a relatively young brand but one that's taken the liquid seriously from the start.
Why We Recommend It
At Bourbon Brothers, we recommend Flecha Azul Blanco for customers who want:
- A smooth, clean Highland blanco that's easy to get into
- Natural agave sweetness without any harshness
- A well-priced premium blanco for Margaritas and everyday sipping
- Something a bit different from the standard big-name options
The celebrity co-founder angle might be what gets people to pick it up for the first time, but the tequila itself is what gets them coming back. It's a solid bottle that doesn't need the story to justify a spot in your collection.
