Produced in Guerrero state, not Oaxaca, which is where the vast majority of commercial mezcal originates. Guerrero has a long tradition of mezcal production using wild agave varieties, and the Agave cupreata found in its mountainous terrain produces a distinctly different spirit to the Espadín-dominant Oaxacan style.
