Jack Daniel's Legacy Edition 1 Old No. 7 Brand Sour Mash Whiskey

Jack Daniel's Legacy Edition 1 Old No. 7 Brand Sour Mash Whiskey
Price: $99.00 AUD
Overview
Legacy Edition No. 1 is the first release in Jack Daniel's Legacy Edition series, a nod to the label Old No. 7 wore sometime before 1904 — a green background with gold trim, long before the brand landed on the black label everyone knows today. Even the distillery isn't sure why that early label looked the way it did; the records from back then didn't survive. Same charcoal-mellowed Tennessee whiskey character Jack drinkers know, just bottled a bit stronger than the standard release and dressed in that old-school label. Each bottle is individually numbered and was first released in 2018.

Provenance
The Jack Daniel Distillery has been making whiskey in Lynchburg, Tennessee since 1866 and is widely recognised as the oldest registered distillery in the United States. The Legacy Edition series was put together to celebrate that long history, with each release built around a different chapter of the brand's label story. Legacy Edition No. 1 kicked the series off, reviving the green and gold label Old No. 7 wore before the now famous black label came along.

How to Enjoy
Best neat or over a single large ice cube. Smooth enough to enjoy on its own, no overthinking required. Pours nicely into a classic Jack and Coke if that's your style. Works well in an Old Fashioned when you want to dress it up.
Why We Curate It
Legacy Edition No. 1 started the whole series, and it earns its spot for the story as much as the pour. Same charcoal mellowed Tennessee whiskey Jack is known for, bottled a bit stronger and dressed in a label that nods back to where it all started.
