Tasting Notes
Nose: Citrus, caramel candy, maple sugar, vanilla, oak and hazelnut.
Palate: Sweet rum, brown sugar and soft oak, with rye spice and a touch of gingerbread underneath.
Finish: Sweet and dry at once, quick and easy, with peppery rye spice on the way out. The rum cask finish takes the edge off the rye's usual bite without losing the spice altogether — so you still know exactly what you're drinking.
Provenance
Angel's Envy was founded by legendary Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson, the man behind Woodford Reserve, alongside his son Wes. The distillery has built its reputation on finishing already excellent whiskey in unconventional casks, treating the finishing process as its own craft rather than an afterthought. The rye is finished in Caribbean rum casks after tasting through more than 100 rums to find the right match, landing on a combination that keeps the rye's spice intact while adding real depth and sweetness.
