Arette Suave Anejo is a 100% Blue Weber agave tequila rested for 20 months in ex bourbon barrels, well past the 12 month minimum for anejo. That extra time in wood gives it more depth and roundness than most anejos in its class.

Warm vanilla, roasted agave and toasted oak up front, with dried fruit, nuts and soft baking spice coming through underneath. Smooth and full bodied without losing the agave.

The cement vat fermentation is a bit of a throwback, and it shows in the finished tequila. Combined with the extra time in wood, it's a more complex anejo than the category minimum would suggest.

Distillery Information

Arette is produced at El Llano Distillery (NOM 1109) in the town of Tequila, Jalisco, by the Orendain family, now in its fifth generation. Founded in 1900, El Llano is the oldest family owned tequila distillery still in operation.

Suave Anejo is fermented in the distillery's original cement vats using a proprietary house yeast strain, a technique that ties every bottle back to the brand's history and gives it a character you won't find elsewhere

How to enjoy

Good neat or over a single rock to let the vanilla and oak open up. Smooth enough for sipping, but still holds its own in an Old Fashioned or Tequila Manhattan if you want to mix it up.
