Corazan Extra Añejo is a minimum three-year-aged tequila from the Los Altos Highlands of Jalisco. Three years in American oak is a serious commitment, and the result is a tequila that's genuinely deep. Rich, dark, and warming, with layers of caramel, dried fruit, and toasted oak that take time to settle into.

The Highland agave, naturally sweeter and fruitier than valley-grown, holds its ground even after all that time in the barrel. You still know it's tequila. Tasting Notes

Nose: Deep caramel, dark vanilla, toasted oak, dried fruit, raisins and a hint of fig. The agave is still there, but it's quieter now, sitting underneath layers of three years' worth of barrel work. Rich and inviting without being heavy.

Palate: Smooth and full. Caramel and dark vanilla lead, followed by oak spice, a touch of dark chocolate, and the warm dried fruit from the nose. The Highland agave's sweetness comes through on the mid-palate and keeps it from going too far into whiskey territory. Good weight, well-balanced.

Finish: Long, warm, and gently spiced. Oak and vanilla linger, with a soft sweetness that slowly fades. Clean and satisfying no rough edges after three years in barrel.

Distillery Information

Produced at Destiladora San Nicolás (NOM 1479) in Atotonilco el Alto, deep in the Los Altos Highlands of Jalisco. Corazon sits within the Bacardi portfolio and has built a genuine reputation for quality aging, most notably through the Expresiones del Corazón range, which uses spent barrels from Buffalo Trace Distillery, including those previously used for Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, and Blanton's Single Barrel.
