History
Founded in 1879 by James Fleming in the village of Aberlour, deep in Scotland’s Speyside region, Aberlour Distilleryhas become synonymous with rich, sherry-influenced single malt whisky. Fleming’s philosophy — “Let the deed show”— continues to guide the distillery today, honouring craftsmanship, community, and integrity across every release. Over nearly 150 years, Aberlour has grown from a local treasure to one of the world’s most admired single malt producers.

Aberlour’s whisky begins with pure, soft spring water from the nearby Ben Rinnes, which supports long fermentations and fruity distillate development. The whisky’s signature character comes from double cask maturation — aging separately in American oak bourbon barrels and European oak Oloroso sherry casks before expert marrying. This process creates an unmistakable profile of dried fruit, spice, chocolate, and sweet oak richness. |

| The current Master Distiller at Aberlour Distillery in Speyside is Graeme Cruickshank. He has over 35 years of experience in the whisky industry and was appointed Master Distiller of Aberlour in 2015 after a long production career within the parent company. |
