Provenance
Wild Turkey has been distilling in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky for well over a century, with the Russell family at the heart of it. Jimmy Russell joined in 1954 and remains one of the longest-serving Master Distillers in the world, with his son Eddie Russell working alongside him. Between them, the Russells have shaped just about every drop of Wild Turkey for decades.

Nose
Caramel, vanilla, and rich charred oak up front, with brown sugar, baking spice, and a touch of cherry and leather sitting underneath. Properly aged Wild Turkey character.
Palate
Warm and full. Sweetness leads with caramel and vanilla, then cinnamon, nutmeg, and oak spice take over. Compared to standard 101, there's more weight and a richer ride from start to finish.
Finish
Long and warming. Charred oak, baking spice, and citrus zest carry through with a clear chocolate-orange note on the close.
How to Enjoy
Best neat. Give it a couple of minutes in the glass and the oak and spice really start to open up. A few drops of water can soften the proof and bring more of the sweeter notes forward. For a bottle with this much age behind it, leave the cocktails alone and pour it straight.
