Just like the name ‘Old No. 7,’ the history of the label is a bit of a mystery. Some say they chose the colour to mourn Mr. Jack’s death; others don't think they chose it for any reason at all. We may never know for sure, but we are certain this label was one of the very first times it was predominantly black.
Their second bottling in the Jack Daniel's Legacy Edition Series is a return to one of the first instances of Jack's iconic black label.
