Four Gate’s Split Stave series is one of the most innovative releases in modern bourbon. Partnering with the legendary Kelvin Cooperage, this whisky is finished in a blend of alternating toasted and charred staves—essentially giving the bourbon multiple barrel profiles at once. The result? A depth of flavour you simply can’t replicate through standard aging.
How It’s Made
Hand-selected Kentucky straight bourbon is matured traditionally, then transferred into Kelvin's precision-engineered Split Stave casks. Each barrel is composed of staves with different toast and char levels, creating layers of sweetness, spice, smoke and oak structure. Bottled at a robust 56.5%, it delivers true cask-strength purity.
High-Level Flavour
