Kentucky Owl Maighstir is a rare and refined limited-edition bourbon that celebrates the artistry of blending and the spirit of mentorship. “Maighstir,” the Gaelic word for “master,” reflects both the whiskey’s craftsmanship and its collaborative origins — created under the guidance of Master Blender John Rhea with a group of skilled apprentice blenders.
This expression is a complex blend of rare, aged bourbons sourced and selected with precision. Bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof), Maighstir delivers a bold yet harmonious experience. On the nose, it offers layered aromas of brown sugar, orange peel, vanilla, and toasted spice. The palate follows with rich caramel, leather, candied citrus, and seasoned oak, all wrapped in a velvety texture. The finish is long, balanced, and warmly spiced.

They released the Takumi and the St. Patricks with leading Japanese and Irish Master blenders respectively.
