The composition was blended and finished in a rum cask before bottling uncut. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOn the nose, the sharpness of the grain feels softened by the rum, which comes through like plantain and semi-ripe papaya over vanilla, rye mint and pepper. It takes a few tastes to adjust to the palate, which offers more intensity and typical rye spiciness, at first lean and oaky, filling out with vanilla and suggestions of dried peach or unripe pineapple.
